Isabella Bazoni is an Italian-born writer, director, curator, and creative producer based in London. She has a diverse career in film spanning various genres including experimental, fiction, music, fashion, and documentary. She studied film curation and production at the University of the Arts, London.
Her work, which primarily explores themes of identity, home, memories, gender, and womanhood, has been recognised with numerous awards and featured at international festivals such as the Nature & Culture Film Festival and the Toronto International Women Film Festival.
In addition to film production, Isabella has an extensive track record as a curator and film programmer. She has worked as a curator for esteemed festivals such as the Ann Arbor Film Festival and the Super Short Film Festival. She has also served on the jury for the SSFF’s London branch. Currently, she serves as an assistant curator for the Directors' Library.
In 2020, she founded the Film Files Club, a collective committed to nurturing and showcasing emerging talent in the film industry. As the club’s director, Isabella curates multi-media exhibitions, showcases, screenings, events, and collaborations with prestigious organisations including BFI Young Audiences, MUBI UK, Girls in Film, The Film Pitch Fund, Loop Talent, and Women in Film and TV UK, among others.
